Krumpelmann Studios is the endeavor of artist and architect, Joseph Krumpelmann. Although Krumpelmann Studios focuses heavily on the design and production of stained glass windows, it also engages other forms of art as well.
Architecture: In 1991, Joseph Krumpelmann graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Minnesota's College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. He then proceeded to work for several of Minneapolis's larger architecture firms, such as The Leonard Parker Associates, Elness Swenson Graham, Hammel Green and Abrahamson, and Boarman Kroos Vogel. During his time with those firms he worked on a number of high-profile science and technology projects, corporate campuses, governmental, civic, industrial, and mixed-use retail and residential projects. He won a number of awards for competition entries that he submitted outside of his professional work. In 2004, he was nominated for Minnesota's Young Architect Award. None of Joseph's professional work from his time with the Minneapolis architecture firms is shown on this site. A portfolio of that work is available upon request. Only Joseph's personal work, his competition entries, are shown on this site. In 2007, in an attempt to pursue his interests in the arts, Joseph started Krumpelmann Studios.
Arts: Joseph's interests in architecture led him to become interested in other forms of art as well. Today, not only does Joseph design and produce stained glass windows, he also explores sculpture and painting as well.
